Al-Noaman Company was founded in 1985 as a private factory and
then was incorporated with al-Nidaa State Company in 1995. It included many
technical and administrational departments and the affiliated of the company
were no more than (200) employees. Now, the factory was expanded and it becomes
a General Company pursuant to Company Act No. (22) in 1997 with a capital of
(800) millions Iraqi Dinars.
Then, it turned into the civil production for the production of irrigation
systems and plastic pipes and other plastic parts. The employees of the company
become now (650) employees as a result of the expansion in the company body.
The company achieved plan for 2002 with a total amount of (10) billion and four
hundreds thousands Iraqi Dinars due to the signing of contracts with the
Ministry of Agriculture to provide them with spraying irrigation systems (6300)
with an area of (5) and (10) acres for the green fields and olive, citrus,
palms yards, as well as signing contacts with Amanat Baghdad and similar
company.
After the war of 2003, and the looting acts, the company was looted and
the damages were as large as (40-50) %. However, due to the efforts made the
supplement of the required materials and the rehabilitation of a great number
of machinery and buildings.
They were all damaged and looted, but they are now in good status. Many
contacts were signed with the brother companies in addition to the revenues
coming from the direct marketing unit. Though, they were less than the
ambition.
The main problem facing the company is the marketing of these systems,
especially the irrigation, due to abstention of Ministry of Agriculture from
purchasing the products in case of the completion rehabilitating all the
machinery of the company and marketing the systems can achieve the required
plan, especially after signing contracts with the Ministry of Agriculture for
marketing the products.
In addition to marketing the plastic pipes to be used in the projects of Amanat
Baghdad.
